Hey y'all!!!

Sorry guys, I haven't posted on here for over a week.  I was really busy last week with work, homework and just other college stuff I had to do.  This past weekend was parent's weekend so I got to spend the weekend with my family who came down here to Dayton.  It was a fun weekend - we went to the UD football game, sat out in the cold, and had a good time.  There was a celebration dinner we went to in the evening which was alright, the food wasn't too great.  Then we went shopping at like 9pm at Wal-Mart and BestBuy.  Today they had a brunch/breakfast thing we went to and then the rents left to go home.  I spent the afternoon on my computer doing pretty much nothing.  So now it's time I get to my homework.

I wish I could have made it to the Prelude and Dessert concert but it's kinda hard to get there when you don't have a car!!  Oh well, I heard it was really good, so congrats to those in it!

I hope everyone had a good weekend and that you have a great week!!!

I saw this quote on a website today: "There is no such thing as 'Christian Music', Only Christian lyrics."**  I began to ponder that quote for awhile but I don't know - it kinda makes you think you a lil bit (I know that's hard for you to do sometimes Danae..lol).  Do you think this is true? Post a comment - I would love to hear from you!!

Later,
Darren

P.S. - I will try to update more often (as time permits).  Thanks Sarah for reminding me!

I found/downloaded this song today.  It's an oldie but goodie!!!  Love them good ol' country tunes!  It's a great song, just read the lyrics.  Here are the lyrics:

Walk on faith

by Mike Reid

We have come to this place in our love
Where faith must be stronger than fear
For if true love is our destination
Thru every storm it must always be clear
The surest way to get there from here
CHORUS:
Is to walk on faith
Trust in love
Just keep on putting one foot down
In front the other
When the valley so wide
We stumble in stride
And everything inside wants to give up
Walk on faith trust in love
VERSE 2:
Farther on beyond the shadows of our doubts
We will live where true love never dies
Though the road we must travel is uncertain
There is a truth in our hearts that never lies
It is by such grace we are bound to arrive
REPEAT CHORUS:
FADE OUT:
Come on walk on faith when the valley is wide
And everthing inside is telling you to give up

Well I decided I would add an entry quick tonight.  So my day started out not so good today.  It was an odd feeling to be back in the classroom after having a four-day Fall Break.    Oh well, all good things must come to an end I guess.  At least this week is a short week as I only have 3 days of classes.  Then it's the weekend!!  I can't wait.

In my first class we were told about our exam next week, which scares me because we've covered so much stuff since the last exam.

I have a philosophy paper to write tonight about Socrates and Meno.  Fun stuff, eh!?!?  I at least feel somewhat better about it since I met with the professor today to ask questions and get feedback.  Now if I can just put my thoughts and explanations into words and print them out on paper, then I'm good to go!

Our dorm room was getting very dirty so I decided to sweep the carpet tonight (for the first time) and now it looks a lot better.  I also cleaned other trash out of our room that was attracting some foreign creatures.  Now our room seems more liveable.

So ya, that was my day.  Well I got to move on and write my Philosophy paper - get that done and out of the way.  I hope everyone is having a great week!

Later,
Darren

So I am trying to figure out how these xanga things work.  Give me a day or two and I will eventually know what I am doing.  Until then, have a good week.

Yup, this is my first post on my xanga/blog/online journal - whatever they are called.  I finally decided to create one of those ever-so-popular xangas.
